Allis model B

Hi, I have come across a Allis model B for sale but it has a stuck engine. The plugs and oil are clean and rust/ water free. has anyone had luck freeing up one of these engines enough to run for a short time (obviously I will conduct a rebuild relatively soon) And are these engines fairly easy to rebuild?(I have done many engines before, just not this one)
Thanks!

depends on what kind of stuck it is.. ive had plenty of luck with lightly stuck engines.. i get them running and them hook them to a plow or something to bring em back to life.. now stuck stuck.. thats tricky.

#1 drain the oil the dip stick will not show if it has water in the pan but draining it will. #2 fill the cylinders with tranny fluid and let it sit a few day. I have had good/bad luck with the Allis B/C engines and about 50% of the time they pop free

When i got my B from kyleOH, it was stuck. I ended up taking the pistons out through the bottom of the engine. It was a good thing because i found out then that it needed new bearings. I have some pics of it, [email protected] if you want them

FYI if your looking for a good Allis B My father in law is tring to sell his fairly cheep. It runs good and has some implements. He was a motor mechanic in the army during 1960's and has taken good care of it. I know it runs very well.

Send an e-mail if you would like any more info.

Location is in NE Ohio (Youngstown area)
