Posting this for a friend. He wants to know if an under hood muffler is still available for a 1930's Allis WC. If so, where?
Thank you in advance.

The parts book shows what looks like a under the hood muffler for the WF and WC but I have never seen an aftermarket one.

You can still get the One for a Allis B,C,Ca In nnalert Catalog But I have never seen one that I remember for a WC. Might be able to make one of these others work.

I've got one of the WC mufflers on mine. Looks similar to the underhood ones, but mounts on the side exhaust. Also have the smashed pipe one as well. Use the muffler for longer runs and the smashed pipe for the pretty sound. Till I get a headache. Here is a picture of my WC with the side muffler.

Thank you for your comments, guys. The man did show me a short-oval muffler that he took off that was shot. He said the whole muffler was under the hood and the hole in the hood is small, just for the exit pipe only.
I am a green tractor man myself, drove one orange one way back in the early 1950's. Worked on none of them as I will be 60 tomorrow!

The "47 we had at home in the early 50s had the underhood- could not have been aftermarket.
Years before "fleet" stores, etc., and everything came from the dealer 2 miles away. When worn out, was replaced after I got "gassed" by it while cultivating corn. (that would explain a lot of things, right?) Folks got concerned when the tractor didn"t move for a long time, actually came to check on me. "course, they though I was fooling around until they saw me sleeping on the ground behind the tractor.
