Been to late Duane Helman place about 8 years ago. I think that one was one he started up for me to showcase me how easy the work we were doing to mine was going to perform. That tractor had been sitting since fall . Started right up after four half cranks like the owners manual said . Sold me .
Can you find it in this tractor collection photo ? Told me he had five hundred tractors. I didn’t ask .ithink the photo is as many as they could get out together in a Saturday afternoon.

I have seen a lot of those, and they have all had painted engines.

I agree. The Farmall 300 I have here at the house looks like a piece of junk. Rusty and crusty. But I’ve also had it split into 3 pieces and replaced bad gears, clutch, ta rebuild, ta clutch. New wiring to 12 volt and many, many other upgrades. No new paint and I would not consider it with all that’s been done restored. Still have much to do, but it is my working tractor not a show piece. Restored is more than paint like you said ! Maybe one day I’ll paint it. Maybe not.
