I bought a Ford 3000 diesel last month and I am starting to go through the tractor and clean it up...
The last owner replaced the generator with a typical alternator conversion. The alternator doesn"t have a tach drive, however I would like to add one. What does the Tisco tach drive fit? Do they work on a generic brand/series? Or did that company build their own alternator?
My plan is to make a Tisco drive work, or take the rotor of the alternator and add the worm gear shaft for a stock tach drive. I would rather not do that...And I don"t want to buy a complete alternator w/ tach drive.
