aluminum concrete forms

bought some aluminum concrete forms that havent ben taken care of to well there is quite a bit of concrete sticking to the forms.what will take the concret off that wont heart the aluminum ? thanks

I've had some aluminum house siding cleaner that I believe used a diluted muriatic acid. I cleaned my aluminum canoe with it once. It did a nice job.

I know muriatic acid is used to clean brick.

Muriatic acid I bet it is not the stuff you can use?

I know it will eat a chunk right out of magnesum trowels. Best try it on something in a vey small area first.

My magnesum trowel was gone, just the wood handle left and the screws that held it together.

Be very carful with a hammer, just light taps as those forms will break easy.

As you well know a ounce of prvention (or form oil) will be worth its weight in gold.

My concrete guy bought some used dirty forms and had them bead blasted. Cleaned them up like new.
