Amazon, issues with

I ordered mower blades for a Craftsman mower from Amazon as no one local had them. It was full filled by outside vender and when they arrived they were 2 inches too short, I ordered correct ones. I returned them and reordered and package delivery date kept getting set back, then said package might be lost. Amazon issued a refund as vender did not respond. Package was not delivered but no Amazon has rebilled me because I didn't return blade. I have told them this but they ignore it. Anyone else have this problem with Amazon ?

had a problem once with a "partner" at Amazon. Won't do that again.

The reason I don't deal through or with them. Evil and just don't want to deal with those problems.I just order and wait or buy them local either way. Easier to return if not right.

It actually sounded similar to your situation. I ordered a thing, they sent something else, and then expected me to deliver it to a ups depot and pay for the return shipping. I said no, you send a truck to pick it up. They refused. Luckily the credit card had already given me my money back. Ended up getting a free thing.

I went though that once. You should just go into your "orders" page and mark it as wrong part. So mark it as return. They will give you one of those code things that you can copy with your cell phone. Then you just take it to any UPS place and they will scan that code from your phone. That's all you need. No need to even box up the wrong part, they will do that. Once you get that code you have like a month to take it to a UPS place for the return. It's very simple. Once the UPS place scans that return code, Amazon will immediately return you purchase price even though they haven't even received the wrong part yet. They know it's being shipped to them.

It's very simple if you do it the right way.

I have never had a problem with Amazon. But then again I do not Amazon.

Wish that there were a way to block them completely when searching for something you need.

We have had great luck with them, got an air filter for Husqvarna mower yesterday, a case of oil for the outboards today, the filters are coming Monday. It's a lot easier than running around town!

I have never had any problem with Amazon or amy of their partner vendors. I buy everything from them except for perishable food. Canned or packaged foord that needs no refrigeration comes just fine along with bath soap, laundry soap, sheets and towels, shampoo razor blades, vitamins and every other such item.

You could always initiate a chat. I usually prefer this over a phone call as I'm not big on talking on the phone. Either way, just get ahold of someone from Amazon and explain the situation. They'll get you taken care of.

Caryc,
He might not be a Prime member
or the item bought was not a Free Returns item
or sold by a vendor fulfilled by Amazon or vs versa

Having said, that we have bought hundreds of items via Amazon, including all of the above scenarios. We do buy based on free returns however.

If you follow the instructions exactly, without wanting special treatment in order to do whatever a different way you will likely be S.O.L.

Prime is pretty much a must, but in close to a decade and hundreds of orders I've only had a few issues. When you need something beyond the regular clickable return options it is indeed a pain to get a hold of someone, but it can be done and the issue will get resolved.

Their prices and delivery are hard to beat out here in the middle of nowhere where they frequently get something to me the next day for less than it would have cost me just in fuel to go get it at the nearest place I could, much less the time it would cost me.

If Amazon can out compete others on stock and efficiency so be it. That isn't evil, it's business.

I am a prime member and buy a lot of stuff from Amazon. I will even pay a little more for a item from Amazon then other online stores like Walmart.

With that said I watch what I buy. I prefer buying sold by Amazon items but will buy from a vendor if it is shipped from Amazon and has free returns. That way I never have to deal with the vendor. If it is wrong or damaged I just return it to Amazon for a refund. Never had a problem.

If the item is only available from a vendor I buy that through Walmart. That way I can walk in a store speak to a live person and return the item for a full refund in view of the store camera with a recite in hand.

Buying items online and having it delivered to your door is nice. Dealing with small time vendors working out of their garage makes it not worth it to me.

If Amazon is saying you received the item you did not have them show you the picture of the delivery. If it was from a vendor shipped usps or ups I might try to fight it for a while but would most likely just move on a mark it up to experience.

I am a prime member. First items, wrong blades were returned and refund no problem. Reordered and it never arrived, tracking said item might be lost.Amazon wants it returned but I never got it. I have never had problems with them before on returns.

I've had some problems from time to time with Amazon, but I found out if you stand your ground you'll get favorable results.

We have had items never arrive also. They were always heavy items like brake rotors, etc.
I suspect poor packaging resulted in no delivery.

Very odd that Amazon or the vendor demanded the undelivered item be returned if they don't have proof of delivery.

Automation, not particularly well written and not correlating the delivery failure. Just get in touch with a person and the issue will be resolved.
