My amber waves have had 5 inches of rain in the last 4 days, with 5 more days of rain forecasted. A lot of the neighbors wheat is starting to go down. Could use 7-8 nice dry days... On the plus side, the corn is growing 4" plus a day.

We got started friday. Dodged all the showers threw the weekend till today and got about an inch and a half. Maybe will get back to it tommorrow if the rain will hold off. Looks like you got all your settings figured out to bail your straw behind your axial.

Nice looking wheat. You know how to run the reel height in heavy wheat too. Just down in the wheat far enough to tip it into the head. I was in heavy wheat once when I lost the reel drive chain and didn't realize it for awhile. I had the teeth down in the wheat about like you do and running real slow to avoid shatter and when I lost the chain the wheat just kept the reel turning. Didn't know the chain was gone till I stopped for some other reason and the reel stopped too! Had a heckuva time finding that 2050 chain. Jim
