Hello,

Took my telephoto lenses to catch the shot
I'm guessing 200 yards. My neighbor said she had two fledgling. I do not get to see them. Just Mom looking vigilant,

GUIDO.

There is a tree line in a pasture. Where I drop off feed. There is always one or two looking at me. Like don't come any closer.

Guido,
I had 5 eagles feeding on something in the field across the road this winter. Looked like two adults and 3 smaller ones. Beautiful birds and made in America birds.

I like watching their "ballet" of catching Salmon. Really a lesson in synchronization and timing. Saw one down on the Texas coast growing up. Quite a few around the cliffs of Lake Texoma....TX-Ok border. Nice to stop fishing and just watch them soaring.

Between Coyotes, Turkey Buzzards, Crows and Bald Eagles anything dead is gone in a couple days around here.

Hello Shawn Walace,

Got plenty of them too! Most I counted was 40. I chased these out, scratching way too much in my mulch pile,

Guido.

We've got Bald Eagles all over around here in northern Michigan. I often see them waiting in line behind vultures - waiting to get what is left of some road-kill. Can't say they look so majestic when eating on what is left of a dead possum in the road. Ben Franklin may of been on to something when he wanted our symbol to be a wild turkey.

We didn't see turkey around here 30 years ago but about 220 years ago DNR released some here and have since became a pain in the neck. Two weeks ago hit one( big tom) with car and car is in shop with over $800.00 damages to front end of chevy Impala.

Hello D beatty,

Same here, they were introduced about 30 years ago. Just what comes out the back side is a pain. Do like to eat them. Even with hunting, they are plenty left,

Guido.

I know a guy on another forum that gets some great shots of eagles - sometimes he also sees the young. He's in a more urban area, so the birds are used to people. Out here, we feel lucky if an eagle sits atop a tree 50 yards from the road without flying away while we drive by. Just not very sociable! *lol*

We see a lot of young Bald Eagles here. It takes 5 years for them to get all their adult plumage, so they
are easy to spot.

Both eagles and turkeys are getting to be a problem around us. Lots of missing pets from the eagles and turkeys are damaging crops. Geese have finally thinned down some. Deer are also a big problem and we have some wolves and bear too. Bear make a mess out of Jeff's corn field every year.

Hello Wwilson ind,

It's three decades since we started turkey hunting in my neck if the woods. Now they are becoming a pest. We try to keep the population down though,

Guido.

Hello jon f mn,

It pays to have powerful friends. Winchester; Colt; Remington, to name a few. HE! HE!,

Guido.

I'm wondering how you got that close. I used to see an eagle 500 yards off the road and every time I would get out of the car it would fly off before I got 10 feet from the car.

Hello Stephen Newell,

Like I said telephoto lense. I did some editing, that is why the picture lacks definition-sharpeness. I just left it that way after editing. It was about 200 yards shot!,

GUIDO.
