ampmeter wiring on ford naa

ofcourse after replacing a voltage regulator and belt on the tractor I just bought.....trying to figure out why the ampmeter was reading -1amps I saw the ampmeter was not hooked up. It has two studs coming out of the back, with a red wire off of one and a white wire off the second stud.

Does anyone know what I could attach these to so I get an amp reading while i'm using the tractor? Thanks!!!!!

If it's "as-original", 6-Volt, here you go... the ammeter connects between the battery cable side of the starter solenoid and a stud on the insulated terminal block.

A 12-Volt conversion should be SIMILAR to this digram for a converted LATE 8N:
