Another Electric Puzzle

The capacitor on the motor on my small auger went out (tab corroded off). I needed to grind feed so I hand started the 120 volt single phase motor. The motor started and the auger ran perfect, but no corn would come out of the auger. What's wrong.

Spun the motor the wrong direction when you started it!

Started wrong direction? Some motors will run in either direction and depend on start circuit to determine direction of rotation.

Boy you guys are sharp. You figured it out faster then I did. Of course I was busy getting the gravity box door closed.
