Another good shop day

Did a little fine-tuning on the 7116. Got the throttle linkage lubed, re-routed and hooked up properly so I have a full range of speed. Confirmed that the charging system is working as well. Did have to replace the 10 day old battery as it failed. That entailed a trip to WalMart in the Vette with the top down, a sacrifice I'm always willing to make...8^) Made a new roller for the hydro actuator arm, snugged up a couple of joints in the linkage and tweaked the neutral position on the hydro a bit more. Still not perfect, but better.

Then I pulled the 3416 out and did the teflon washer mod on the carb. Once again, that skinny little see-through teflon washer cured the leak. Took the grass board off the sickle bar mower so it's not trying to stab me in the ear in the stowed position and shortened up the transport chain a little. Bumped a switch on the dash with the ignition on and heard the electric hoist working which I'd forgotten all about. Crawled under and looked the situation over, scrounged a pin out of my stash and connected the electric hoist to the mower lift. WAY better than the "armstrong" lift. Took that off and stashed it in the spare parts shed. Also verified that the headlights are working, tho that's more "because they're there" than any expectation of needing them.

Other than paint and body, I'm running out of things to do on these tractors. Guess I'll start trying to figure out the front mount snow blower next. Don't need it, Got a 5 footer on the Kubota and a 28" walk behind for the tight spots, but it's something to do
