Another Identification Help Thread

Hello everyone,

My first post here. I've been doing a lot of reading on this site and it's been immensely helpful. I'm new to the club but I bought my first John Deere backhoe a few weeks ago and have been going over it and making plans to fix it up a bit. It was an old farm unit with only two owners, both farmers, so it doesn't seem like it was abused by any means. It's going to go a long way in helping me get my homestead established.

I hate to be "that guy" but again, I'm pretty new to this, but I was trying to ID the year on it. I can't believe John Deere doesn't have these serial numbers readily available in a database somewhere but here is what I have:

On the frame for the overall unit:
310AD 286167T

On the engine:
Type: A219DT
Serial: 437932T

I'm hoping to turn it into a bit of a restoration process so to speak and I'm excited to learn in the process. Any tips or advice is more than welcome!

It should be in the 1977 serial number range, based on serial numbers of some other JD construction equipment.
