All 3 look like they could put in a good day's work if asked. Great photo .... pictures without people are worthless .... this one is priceless !!! Family folk ??

I suppose nothing really sticks out to tell you the cars in your pictures are Fords. But if you see a Ford insignia on it a real rough down and dirty identification method is wood spoke wheels such as was in your “Old car with horse” thread is a Model T. Model A’s generally have wire spoke wheels such as shown in this picture. To keep me out of trouble with the correct police, there are always exceptions. Identifying them by years as these gentleman have is above my realm of knowledge.

5 window coup, no rumble seat.

The Sport Coupe had a full fabric roof over a wooden frame.On a steel top Coupe the roofline is a smooth line from front to rear.On the Sport Coupe the middle roof rib is humped up in the air,and it can be seen behind the guy in the middle.Gave a little more headroom,but it also gave that model the starving cow look.It is a 28-29 Sport Coupe.If you look under the elbow of the guy on the right you might see the trim of a missing rumble lid latch,or it could just be something laying there.Hinges were internal,so you're not looking at trunk hinges.Not to say somebody didn't add them.Easy way to convert from a useless rumble seat to a trunk.

I also guessed Model A Ford because of the wheels, but beyond that I had no clue.

The distinctive roofline and the seam between the exposed gas tank and cowl side panels give it away.But,look at the guy in the middle.Strange things jump out at me there.Look at his height.The running board on a 28-29 A is 14-16 inches off the ground.Set that guy on the ground,and how tall is he?He would be a short little bugger compared to his friends.The angle of his right foot and leg look off too.Does he even HAVE a left foot?With his buddies holding him up like that I'm just going to take a guess that the guy in the middle is a wounded/crippled war vet.

Thanks everyone who responded. It's amazing how the smallest detail can really narrow down the car info.
I only know the guy in the middle, he was born in 1907 and died in 1998. He was my uncle and was not a war vet. He was the shortest of all his siblings but was a hard working fiesty farmer who loved working with horses. Their farmer tans belie their long hours in the sun.

The way those guys are positioned makes me think your uncle in the middle has something wrong.The way the legs are twisted,and the way they are holding his hands makes me think they are supporting him.He could just have a sprained ankle or something.It just doesn't look like three buddies draping their arms over each others shoulders.Then again,they may have just had him hop up there to get a picture with their arms around each other.With his height it might not have worked with him standing on the ground.

I agree, but if he had an injured foot it wasn't very serious because he was quite agile when I knew him later in his life (1950s to 1998).
