Another spark plug question

I didn't want to pile onto the post below, but had another question about spark plugs.

Has anyone tried a Autolite 378 spark plug instead of the 3116's? They extend about 1/8" longer than 3116's and I'm wondering if that would make a positive impact on engine performance or not.

Thanks for the replies.

Mathias, You might look at the NGK WR4-1, they have a very long extended tip and were recommended to me by Gary Baker, one of the best engine builders in the midwest.

Personally, I do not think that extended tip plugs will show an appreciable power gain, I do not think it would be seeable on a dyno. There may be some antifouling advantages but not even sure about that.

I still use majority 3116 Autolites and believe them to be superior judging by my experiences over the years.
