Dogs or pins for an overrunning clutch on certain farm machinery. I just rebuilt the overrunning clutch on my NI 290 haybine they look identical. Larry do you want to get rid of them be more then happy to have? Mike

Those are just stubby dowel pins. That's what I used when I rebuilt the orc on our 290. I milled out the hardened bushings and used 1/2 id x 3/4 od drill bushings for the sleeve and sanded them out some so a dowel pin would slide freely inside the hardened bushing. Been running good for several years now.

Gotta rebuild the spare jackshaft for it and do the same thing to that one.

Larry, e-mail is not open. Thanks Mike.

Don-WI, the jack shaft is the one I did on my 290 a little hard by myself but I got it done with new springs and new drive belt (they don't give them away) as well. Would be easier with 2 people. I also replaced the dogs and springs on the top roller.

I've swapped that jackshaft out a few times. Doesn't get any easier. I've got a few things I need to do under the cover on ours but it still runs good. I put all new guards on last year and it cut the fine stuff pretty good then.
