I need help identifying the old ford tractor I just purchased. These numbers are in this order. I know what the serial number is but I have no idea what the other ones mean so I cannot figure out what year or model I have. The cyclops emblom is gone also. But it did have one. It has a hydraulic clutch which may have been installed by the airforce as that is who originally purchased the tractor . Any help sure would be appreciated.

On the radiator it is C2NN-A
L
662

Thanks, Art

I'm not able to give you 100% satisfaction, but I do recognize a couple of numbers.

The 171127 between the diamonds is the serial number and according to a book I have, indicates the tractor was built in July 1962. In fact, this book (a parts manual published by Ford) claims the LAST serial number built was 171247 which, if true, would make your tractor one of the "last of the Mohicans".

The numbers above that should be model numbers, but I don't recognize any of them. Perhaps some special military order?

The 662 on the radiator looks like a date code for June 1962 which would make sense. My 1955 850 has 655 on its radiator. Other date codes indicate final assembly of my tractor happened in August 1955. Do you have any date codes on your rear axles (front surface)? Can you post pics of this interesting machine?
