Antique Toledo scale

A big store near me is closing down, selling everything, including the tables, shelves and fixtures.

Saw this antique Toledo scale, looks like it goes up to 100 pounds, has a sticker on it that says it was serviced in 1976.

What do you think, Is this antique scale worth anything? Seems to be in good shape, probably been sitting in a closet for years.

Very far from an expert on scales, but that one to me doesn't look too 'antique'. If you have a use for such a device, then should be a good unit.

Yeah, probably not worth much. Now if it was an old butcher's scale, I've noticed lately those can get into a couple/few hundred dollars depending on condition.

I doubt you could get something like that certified, so it would be of little use in a business, but it would be great for someone that might need it around the shop. Very durable and easily portable.

Yes, a lot of extra weight there with it. Those scales 1 lb will weigh 100 lb.

$100 and I do believe it can still be certified.

They can be certified if desired.
The 2010 or so cert stickers are still on a large, hundred yr old Fairbanks scale from the shipping dept where I used to work.

My former employer has a scale that's older than that, used for out going shipments.

We had 4 of them in the race car shop for weighing weight distribution. They got certified about every 4-5 years by local scale service.
