im looking for a piston ring compressor and a cylinder hone,that i can use on a 730 diesel bored .045 over.where is a place i can find them.ive so them on the internet before when i wasnt needing them, but cant find them now.thanks for the help

Check with your favorite local auto parts store. A standard automotive type ring compressor will work (3-7"), but will probably have to do it in 2 stages if it isn't tall enough. I had O'reillys order one that's tall enough for all at once (Lisle brand??), not too expensive. Pretty sure that's where I got my hone years ago. Mike

i got my ring compressor from harbor freight done a 6.125 piston no problem with room to spare think it cost like $10

You know, of course, that you can put together the screw-type hose clamps until you get the right length and do them one ring at a time. For a one-time use tool, it is sometimes a better/cheaper idea.

I just installed rings in a B and used a hose clamp on the oil ring than installed a regular ring compressor on the others. jimmy
