Anyone have a Shivvers drying system???

I have a 21' bin with a Shivvers drying system in it. I do not have another bin set up to run the dry corn into to cool and store. I had the corn dryed down, about 4200 bu., and took out a semi load, leveled out the corn, and put 19% corn on top. It is cold enough that I don't want to run gas and dry it, I can run air on it thru the winter and spring and get it down to 15.5% ok. My question is, if I run the circulator to move the wet corn to the bottom of the bin, when I run the air to finish drying it, will it raise the moisture of the corn above it? My first time running the heater and I overdryed some of the corn( 12.5%). Am I right in thinking that if I run the air on it, when the moisture comes out, it has to pass thru the overdryed corn, so it should raise the moisture some shouldn't it? Otherwise, I will leave the wet corn on top and run the air till it's dry( won't that make the corn on the bottom dryer yet)? All the other years I've used the bin, I just ran air on it till the top was dry and got along OK. Any thoughts??? Chris

I have a hunch you won't be adding much moisture to the corn above it. My neighbor tried to add moisture to some over dry corn by running the fans on foggy or rainy days but the corn didn't pick up enough moisture to make it worth the effort.

Today I talked to a neighbor who took a bin fan motor to the motor repair shop. The shop owner took one glance at it and said it's another one of those *&^*% Chinese motors. Then the shop owner said he had to get another bin fan motor fixed real quick because it's off a bin that has 37% corn in it. WOW! No amount of air is gonna keep that corn from going bad. Jim
