I was looking for duration/cam timing specs. There's no punch mark on my cam gear, and I was going to degree it to get the cam lined up.

Knock me over with a feather if you find that! How about #4 overlap with #1 TDC-comp?

Camshaft tolerances:

Journal diameter 1.7985 - 1.7599

Bearing clearance reccommended .001 - .002

Block clearance not to exceed .004

End Play reccommended .004 - .0015

Hope this helps......... Scott

Thanks everyone! Wasn't sure if there was some specs or not, had looked on the internet for over a week, LOL. I will check it when I tear the front end of the tractor apart to rebuild (it had a loader on it at some point in time).

I suspect you will find the "Punch" mark on the crank gear...not the cam gear. The cam gear has a slot mark on it, and the punch mark on the crank gear is located under the edge of the oil slinger.
I'm assuming that the marks are the same as my 2N.
Do yerself a favor.....after ya find the marks,...line them up and mark where they go. I used white fingernail polish on mine, but ya have to have that area cleaned off and dry for the polish to stick.
As in this pic.:

If I am wrong about this........I'm SURE someone will let ya know about it!!!
