Anything but a tractor

Love the tractor talk and pictures, but after a while I start thinking "man I'd love to see an 18,25 or 40 combine again. Anybody got one?

How bout a 525? Dad had one each of the 33 35 and 40 years ago, but there long gone. I bought this 525 2 years ago. Just wish I had something to do with it:(

we have an 18 combine, also we just found out that according to the serial number it was the 9th 18 combine ever built, good thing we saved it from the scrapers.

You bet! I love combines and am wanting an Oliver 18 or an Oliver SP. I also love corn pickers and desire an Oliver from that era. Here in Central Il I just don"t see them. I have an Oliver 88 and am looking for some Oliver implements and equipment from the era to match up with it.

AS I recall, the 7300 is a re-badged 535, but with a V-8 engine. One of my neighbors had a real late 535 with a V-8. Is this right: a 525 pretty much a 2-row machine, a 535 3-4 row, 545 a 4-row machine? Has anyone ever seen a 545 with more than 4-row head?

The 7300 was an up dated 535. The 7300 used the 700 series headers with the feeder housing that stayed on the combine.

The 6 row model 561-4 corn head was used on the 545 machine. The 561-5 corn head was used on the 5555 machine. Both of these heads were the earlier style with the feeder housing staying on the head.
