My ser # tag reads AO 1342 Is this a 1937 AOS.And is there anyone that make Nose, side wings and cover at rear of hood for it. And how can i look up the history of this tractor.Thank You Jim

Your AOS is a 1937. Good luck with the sheet metal. Perhaps someone else on here will have some better ideas, but I think K&K Tractor in Indiana can still get the flip up lid at the rear of the hood. There was a guy by the name of Ron Weagraff (I think that"s correct) in Kissimee, Florida that did the nose cone in fiberglass. That may be the best you can hope for. Don"t have any guesses on the batwings. Maybe K&K could tell you where to look. That"s where all of my sheet metal came from about 5 years ago. The Two Cylinder Club can get you manufacture/warehouse dates and probably shipping destination for your tractor. 1-888-782-2582.

Jim,
My AOS is SR# 1208 and we are in the restoration process as we speak. I know of at least three or four AOS owners who recently tried to seek out new sheetmetal - and we all chased the same tail around the same dog so to speak. The glass noses are no longer in production, with no more planned to be made. (I believe the man who made them passed away - and his family chose not to continue making the item.) I also tried Craig Welding in north central Indiana (they make complete sheetmetal for the numbered orchard series. He said he"d make new metal, if he could get a bulk order of 10-12 sets. It wasn"t worth his time to do one or two. I truly believe your best bet will be to take the tractor to a body shop that specializes in hot rod builds. They seem to be the most adept at the complex curves and lines of the AOS sheetmetal. Yes... pricey... but then again... so is an AOS. If you have further questions or would like to speak directly, please email me and I"ll forward you my contact information. I"d love to share restoration tips with you. - Jeff (Wauconda, IL)
