April Harvest

is a better option around here vs binning it very wet in the fall. Biggest problem was deer poop but was able to clean it out.
Exactly the same problem here and I had a field of wheat to harvest in the spring of 2021. It was pretty flat to the ground but i was able to pull it up with the pickup reel on the swather and then combine. Lots of spring threshed canola swaths that year too. And yes, deer and moose were a factor in the finished product. Some places didn't want to buy the grain unless it had been cleaned. I was lucky to find one that took mine as is. i don't think that was a problem in 1952.
