The clutches on both my '49 AR and '49 B are adjusted in far enough that the castle nuts are JUST catching on the cotter pins. Both clutches work fine, but since they're so far in, should I start to replace clutch parts? If so, is just the discs enough? Is there a minimum disc thickness I can measure? Do you (should you) ever have to replace the drive or adjusting discs? Thank you. Greg

Might be time for some new adjuster bolts. They stretch over time. Or I like to take a lock washer that is the right size and flatten it out to take up the slack. Be sure and flatten them though or they won't work.
