My argon/co2 regulator is leaking so I will have to replace it. I have been looking on line and prices are all over the place from $25 to $200. What is the difference in between the cheaper and the expensive units? Don't tell me $175.

Amazon has a bunch of them in the $20-$30 range. Most with good ratings.
Harbor freight has two that are a little more expensive, also with good ratings.

I see all of them, for home /farm shop use ,the cheaper the better. Welding 10 hours a day buy, a brand name.

i only buy what can be repaired in 40 years i have had very minimal repaires few gauges a few diaghrams , thatts it with10 regulators on bottles

I have been looking for one online today as well. I have narrowed it down to a Smith brand from a welding supply store. My CO2 tanks need a female end on the regulator, which is hard to find.
Straight Co2 is a different animal than 75-25. Straight Co2 will freeze the regulator at high flow rates and there are special regulators for that purpose. Some have fins on them and some have a heating element in them. You can use a standard regulator for a short period but it will start to freeze up after a time. I use about a 50# cylinder a month. Much cheaper than 70-25.
