Last one, for now....but I have lots of stuff. These two oddities are the same except for one is a little shorter than the other. There are 10-20 of these. Not all have the green paint. At least one has red. Some have no holes and some have an extra hole or two. If they have holes they consistently have the four outer holes. If you know what they are, let me know. Did I mention that, should any of this stuff be that long last part that you needed to complete your old (fill in the blank)...just let me know and it is yours for the cost of the stamps. My treat! One last clue. This old boy was VERY organized. Whatever these items are they are likely related.

They look like the corner connectors used for stake bodies on trucks and wagons.

The ones pictured are not for the corners but for joining the side sections of the side boards together. The corner ones will have a bend in them.

Not necessarily. Those look like the ones that go on the back and your rear stake racks lock in to them. The gate(s) would sit in the stake pockets at the bottom and lock in to those brackets at the top.
