Axel nut

Hey guys have a 1952 ford 8N ordered new rear hubs also ordered nuts the 2 inch ones that come with clip iam not sure but I think I have a problem Standing behind tractor it would be left rear both hubs fit great on right side rear standing behind tractor that axel shaft excepts the 2 inch nut the other side the 2 inch nut is to big for threads it had a nut and washer already on that side it is smaller nut then other side ? Do you think some one has changed axel shafts on that side in the past Iam confused any help would be great Thanks

That would be my guess too.
Is there anything preventing you from reusing what was on it?
If needed I have a good axle.
