B Carburator repair

Time to get to a starving carburator. My '42 B has a Zenith on it now. The tractor starves out under load so I have a problem. Am I
better off to just get a full rebuild kit for the old Zenith or should I look at a newer type for full replacement?

New zeniths aren't cheap. I'd try taking it apart, soak it in some acetone over night and put in a new rebuild kit.

Rebuild it. Soak it over night in a good carb cleaner if you can find one. Then blow it out with air and also carb cleaner spray and also poke out every passage way that you can the more carb cleaner spray. I use a torch tip cleaner tool to poke out carbs. If you do not poke out the passage way you will be likely to have to open it up again

Are you sure it is the carburetor? Have you cleaned the sediment bowl? How about the fuel inlet filter on the carburetor? Spark plugs?

Pretty sure it is carburator. Stops sputtering if choke is pulled partially closed. No fuel filter on line and bowl clean.
