Heres the deal, theres a B for sale on an online auction, not to far away so I went and looked at it, it does not have any electric stuff on it, meaning no lights and no battery or provision for a starter, has a mag for spark. What I would like to know is a torque tube from a starter equipped B swap to this or are they different? Also questioning the flywheel would they have a ring gear from the factory or would it be bare ? Thanks, Jimmy

Not like to have a ring gear on the flywheel and yes a torque tube form an electric start tractor could be put on. But you best find one close by since shipping would be high. I'm in Missouri and may have what you need

Thanks there Old, we have a local young fella that parts out mostly letter series tractors in which he has advertised he had a couple Bs,I will check with him, near Austin, MN and Iam north of Albert Lea, MN (southern MN) so close by.

Been decades ago but at one time I lived up your way. Last I knew one of my cousins still has the old family farm. It is close to Meneska MN and probably still have relatives that live in or close to Winona MN. My dad grew up up your way.

I find it interesting as to where people grew up or lived at one time !

Well I am one of those people who lived north south east and a bit west. I was born in Alabama but before I was old enough to know much moved to Missouri then up to MN. then down to KS. Then to NE and then TN and then MS. I then enlisted in the Navy and went to FL then CT then VA. and back to VA then back to CT and for the last almost 41 years been here at the Lake of the Ozark in MO. My dd was a preacher s we moved about every 3-6 years

From what i have read bell housing without starter hole did not have flywheel
for ring gear. They did have a conversion kit bell housing flywheel with ring
gear. When they started with place for the starter the flywheel was made for
the ring gear not hard to find flywheel with ring gear i have some if you need
one
