B JD crank splines

Wondering where is the best place to send a crank to have the splines renewed? 1945 B came in at work to be tuned up.
After giving it a good look over before starting to do anything I noticed the splines on the crank and clutch driver are so bad that its actually about to just shear them completely off. I advised the owner that it should be fixed and I wouldn"t recommend doing any work with the tractor till it is fixed.

Don"t know what he wants yet but figured I better find a place to send crank to just in case and how much it would be. Thanks for any help.

I know where there's a JD B . Unsure what year but its electric start. One gear shifter if that means anything. Probably a lot better then what you have. Email doesn't work from here on ytmag. Call me is best. 308-763-1265 anytime.

I can find you several cranks... must be from a 41 to 46 B... Definately easier and cheaper to just find another crank.. but I would make sure you get the mains with it!

We are waiting to hear what the owner wants to do. I don't think he is convinced it needs fixing. It's so bad I think if you used it to plow a couple acres it would finish it off.

Richard Duane fixes them(410-643-2899) not cheap to do, $450 per end. Just to give you an idea on price, fixing that crank. John
