B Pulsing

I had my governor rebuilt on my '47 B a few years ago. It seems to work well going up hill. However, if at an idle and you increase the throttle it will start pulsing. It does not pulse if you creep the throttle forward very slowly. It doesn't seem to do it as bad when in gear or with a load.

I thought it might be a weak governor spring but that was replaced. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Gov hunting can be caused by a number of things. Weak or missing springs. Having the carb set to lean. Gov problems internal. even linkage binding.
Does choke it help or hurt?? Can you grab the gov to carb rod and hold it and make it stop or does it try to die if you do that. I have a friend who ha a cub that will do that but if you grab the gov to carb rod and hold it, it will stop doing it and run just fine till you shut it off and then when you start it it will do it again.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. If I grab the gov to carb rob it wants to die. It also wants to die if I choke it. Any other ideas?
