B&S locked up

80’s model 18hp opposed twin lost power then locked up. Been used for play tractor for years. No noise just locked up,don’t think it’s a rod bearing. Anything in the valve train could cause this? Thanks in advance

What was the time frame ?
Over a 10 minute period or almost instantly?

I bet when you get it apart you will find the oil slinger gear worn out and no longer being turned by the cam gear.
At least that is what happened to me once. There was a notch in every gear tooth on the oil slinger that corresponded to the gear teeth on the camshaft.
