B steering arm to spindle lock bolt angle

Working on my Allis B, 1942 I think, although clearly parts from several tractors - 1939 trans, 42 block casting, etc. Somewhere in the distant past the bolts that lock the steering arms to the spindles wandered off. I made some temporary ones a few years back, using some handy hardware bolts and a grinder. Now I would actually like to make ones that don't stick out like Frankenstein's jumper. I have a lathe and some good bolts, but what I don't know is the point angle where they insert in the spindle. Anyone know, or happen to have one out that they could measure? Thanks!

Not sure of the angle, but the same thing happened to me when I was cultivating corn with Dad's 1948 B many years ago when I was about 14. Long walk back to the barn and I thought it was the same as the bolt that held the starter. Only tool I had was a 12" crescent wrench. I started the tractor, found a piece of broken fence and wired the starter in place, put the starter bolt in the spindle and continued cultivating the rest of the day. I still have the tractor with the starter bolt in the spindle 68 years later. Must have been ok.

Parts book says the spindle setscrew is the same number as the starter setscrew. If you've got electric start, just make a duplicate of that one.

Aha! That explains the two badly chewed starter mount bolts in the starter box! Still need to make bolts but now I have a pattern. Thanks!
