B414

Chance to buy a B414 for 1600. Tires are good it runs. Were they a good tractor? Looks like a handy acreage tractor. Doesn’t have a two point or
three point. Which hitch would have come with it originally? Does it seem like a decent price?

That's that British 30 hp tractor, that's a diesel right, all i now is they run cheap! but with out a 3 point that wouldn't be so good, for acreage would it !!

Years ago a neighbor had a B414 with loader and three point, it was gas..

Grandpa's neighbor had a gas B414. Every single part has to come from the IH dealer for that engine. Even the spark plugs were an odd number and had to come from Great Britain. Last I knew the spark plugs were $20 each. At the time of his auction. The B414 needed a new mechanical fuel pump as it was leaking fuel into the crankcase. The dealer wanted over $300. It was sold with the old one.

Since the farm retirement sale. I've seen that tractor on two consignment sales. Last was this past Sept. It ran on three cylinders. ( because it's had a bad cylinder for twenty years.) it sold for $2800.

The British built IH tractors did not use the 2pt hitch. They only has 3pts.

The British IH and Fordson tractors I would steer clear off. They all require pockets full of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

That's just pure male bovine excrement!

Suitable sparkplugs are readily available from THIS very site for $2.85 each, and also fuel lift pumps, fit gas or diesel, for $23.66.

Wonder what guys like you get out of spewing such nonsense?

I agree with wore out, I had no trouble finding parts for the 414 a a reasonable price.

no three point, expensive parts. i would stay away from iy

no they are not. We called a dozen places no one but Case IH could get spark plugs or the fuel pump.

Check the steering gear box and the brakes. If it has been sitting outside, rust could have caused problems. Somehow water tends to get into the gear box. Good engine.
