Back From Indiana!

Returned from my visit to external_link with my re-built motor. I brought them my old '46 2N and picked up a '48 8N engine. Quite a trip on the way with my 12 year old son. 570 miles round trip, an overheated transmission, and an engine that shines like Christmas! Quite a place.

Thanks for the pictures. That trip will be one you and your son will remember for a long long time...... and that sure is a pretty looking engine!!!

Let us know how things turn out, Ed.

I'm about 100 miles or less from external_link.

Looked like a nice trip.
Great memories for you and your boy.
...so are you a 'Hawks fan?
Just watching the game right now. 'Hawks just scored.....scored again!!! 2-0 Late in the second.
Yep, I'm cheering them on.
I picked them for the 'Cup back around Christmas.

thanks for the kind words guys - My son did enjoy the trip and I will cherish it for a long time.

mechanic just called and asked me to get a throw-out bearing for the transmission - that is a clutch release bearing, right?

Yes.

If you have not already done so, be sure to replace the transmission input shaft seal while the tractor is split.

Are you related to Billy, a hard rock miner in Virginia City, NV? Worked with him one summer vacation when I was 17 y.o.

Ed,

Something that pretty should have been bubble-wrapped to keep from scratching it! lol

Looks like a fun trip with your son.
