Good midday, all,

After moving to town for 4-5 years, my wife and I purchased a few acres in the country a little over a year ago. The old 971 had been out a my parent’s property, mostly sitting. I finally got the new wheels/tires on the rear and we brought it out to or “new” property today.

Those loaders were both the neatest and craziest thing. :)

Sounds like you are moving in the right direction.

The one arm loaders are interesting. I have a one arm with the hydraulic bucket. Was on my row crop 4000, moving it to my 3000D SOS. Pretty reliable old tractors.

Thanks fellas,

Yes, tickled to be back on some property and looking forward to some seat time. More projects than time, but I’d like to clean it up a little someday. sounDguy (Chris) would buy a tractor and clean it up very nicely in a few months sometimes. I miss his posts, I loved the single front wheel tractor he cleaned up.

How do you like the loader on the SOS? I just recently picked up a non-running 971 and am thinking I'd like to move the loader from my 961 onto the 971...when I get it running. They don't lift a whole lot, but it sure beats a pitch fork!
