Backhoe control valve.

I have a 530ck. All the backhoe control handles work as they should except the right stabilizer one. I have to really force it into different positions. The stabilizer also won’t stay in place if I have the rear lifted up. Does that part of the control valve need to be rebuilt? Or is there something else I should look at? Thanks

Not much rebuild to a control valve. If it has a removable cap on the opposite end of the spool from the control lever take the cap off and check for rust or other build up in there. Lube both ends of the spool with a penetrating fluid (your choice, I'm not recommending any particular one). Lube and work the handle engine not running, and you should be able to do this with the cap off to keep spraying penetrant on the spool, to see if it frees up. Re install the cap. If it doesn't free up, you may need to pull the spool out of the valve body and check the spool and bore condition.

As for the outrigger settling. That could be caused by the valve spool not centering properly. The hard movement you posted about would indicate the spring is not able to properly center the spool in the bore. The other thing that could let it settle is a bad internal packing on the outrigger cylinder piston.
