Backlash issue

Hello everyone first post here! I am rebuilding the engine on a 9n and
currently reassembling and I am checking the backlash on the oil
pump gear to crankshaft gear. Specs call for .003-.004. My clearance
is .012 and I ordered the rebuild kit for this pump and had a machine
shop install the new bushing and reamed to size and install new drive
gear and pump gears. Is the drive gear wrong size? I thought the
pump gears were the only ones that were different? The backlash for
my camshaft is perfect any help is appreciated thanks!

I would not worry about that backlash..

I would not worry about that backlash..

itto. If the cam to crank backlash is correct then what your likely dealing with is a part from the land of almost right. If your oil pump kit isnt a OE kit then this is to be expected TBH. If it was me and everything else is right Id run it.
