Backyard gas tank fix

Someone did this. I guess the world ran out of Cub gas tanks.

It probably would have taken less time and money to have fixed it right.
The question is how do you have one of these tanks fixed "right", from the the Cubs, or "A" or "B", for example?

The tank mounting "rails" are spot-welded onto the tank bottom, and eventually the tank bottom cracks at or between the spotwelds and leaked gas works it's way out at the edge of the brackets.

You can't get at the actual cracks/source of the leak to solder, braze, or weld them because of the attached bracket.

I don't think liquid tank liners are a "forever fix" because the tank continues to flex in that mounting area, the cracks likely continue to expand, and, eventually the liner leaks, and then you have a mess.

How have you guys dealt with this, I own an "A" that leaks and could use a long-lasting repair?
