Bad boy mowers

My FIL bought one of the less expensive units from TSC a year ago. It has been a huge PITA since he got it. The electric PTO clutch has a torque arm that has a slot that a bolt goes in to keep it from turning a full circle. We"ve had to replace that bolt 5-6 times now including BadBoy sending another PTO unit to replace the first when the wires snapped after the bolt broke the first time. We also just had to put it in the shop for engine troubles (bad VR) that was blowing the main fuse.

I looked at them and would not buy one. They do not have a floating front axle like my Gravely Z260 nor a full independent 4 wheel suspension like my Ferris. They will beat you to death to mow with and cause will sever back pain.

If you are looking to buy. Check out the Gravely"s and Ferris. I have owned Dixie Chopper, X-Mark, John Deere and Hustlers. I would not trade a used Gravely or Ferris for a truck load full of new ones from any of them.

Where are they made? This was the first I heard of them. I thought maybe this was China's answer to "Zero Turn" I looked on ebay. They are not cheap. Are they US made?
