Bad gas at Lukoil

Last night about thirty cars gassed up and then stalled out on the Garden State Parkway.Today seven more Lukoil stations pumping water into lots of cars.[all Lukoil].Its traced to a refinery tank.Gee dosent ethanol absorb water?If your coming to the Garden State gas up at home.Its causing some major headaches like one woman bringing her dad home from chemo then had to be towed.Lukoil says they will cover all costs.

Ethanol does absorb water, but there is a limit.

When you mix ethanol blended gas with water it looks something like gelled diesel fuel. It turns into little clumps that clog up filters.

If it was traced to a refinery tank you'll probably see a lot more stations having the same problem, not just Lukoil stations, either.
