bad transmission 6000 Ford

I have problems with the transmission on my 6000 Ford. I was hopeing for a linkage problem as the selector did not line up with the right gear. then while ideling it just stoped going into any forward gear. At present only the reverse works.
Any sugestions would be apreciated.
