If a guy in Washington state was asking I wouldn't think too much about him needing a knotter. If he were in the next state to me I would give him some suggestions of where to look.

Sound like you have or had a timing problem plus a plunger safety stop problem that is how my 14T went from being a good baler to scrap iron. Timing jumped safety stop was not working so a wad of hay hit the needles and broke them and in turn trashed the knotters

(quoted from post at 15:08:33 10/05/19) Need knotter for a 24t

Don't limit your search to just the 24T.

Knotters from MANY, MANY other models will fit, all the way up to the era of the "336".

The late, great replacement knotter is part # AE58928.

It is split at the main shaft area, and and can be removed for service or replacement by removing bolts in a "connecting rod cap" arrangement.

A bailer is someone who keeps the boat from sinking.

To the original poster, we might be frustrating to you with our flip responses, but it?s hard to help when we don?t get enough info. So we get to teasing a little.

So, you need the knowers, the whole shaft and mechanisms, or a knotted needle?

And, giving us a state at least for a location is really helpful so we know if it?s worth checking if we have something to help you.

Really wanna help, but we don?t know either......

Paul

A bailer could be a bilge pump in a boat, or a maybe a jail bondsman, or a hay baler?

I agree on location. I won't even chime in and say that I have anything anymore unless somebody can drive here to pick it up. Shipping is totally ridiculous on this stuff.

On shipping you might can use Fastenal probably won't be quick but will beat everyone else's price. Also don't worry about the spelling police that's all they are qualified to do.

Busted the housing into two peaces believe needle hit knotter frame around gear to bill hook , had time balers many many times John Deere , new holland worked several years helping other to keep theirs operation going , always a first, the needle set at spec would rub slightly against the bill hook gear ,new needle frame new had worked good , tied great ,good shape bale hay was clean and dry there are so many small issues that can be over looked at my age more than likely that's what I did ,thanks all you old gentleman this baler the best I can tell is around a 65 model you got to be old to know what this , I love working on this thing( 24t )in this Mississilppi Heat nea 100 in October have a blessed fall

What part of Mississippi?? I graduated from high school in Cleveland MS and then went into the navy. Did a couple of month in the rice straw fields baling hay an ended up being the mechanic for the guy I worked for but was only 18 at the time. Learned a lot about balers and such in those couple of months before leaving for the Navy
