The JD2640 has two engine Balancer Shafts. I've noticed considerable wear on the center and aft bearings. Is this common?
 
Yes it is common and will need taken care of, the bushings wear and also the shafts wear too,, and there are
left and rights and also timed, they share the engine oil pressure so when the wear there goes the oil flow...
