Bargain Alert - Boom Poles

Was up at my local Fleet Farm today. Outside they had 2 or 3 King Kutter boom poles on sale. $54! That's $5 cheaper than I paid for one at FF five years ago. It was a bargain then.
This is the best tool I have ever bought for my tractor. I use it all the time.
I don't know how many of you have bought any steel lately but I have and I am certain you could not purchase the steel to make one for that price. Don't know if they are that price at all the FF stores. I would check if you need one.

i bought one a few years ago and at $65 dollars that was a deal that was of course before the economy took a sh!+ and peaple started paying a dollar for a roll pin

I bought one at tsc back in 02 or so for a whopping 49$.. been a good pole.. looks just like that yellow one 'cept mine is red.

You hit the nail on the head about the price of metal. I bought 2 four foot pieces of two inch by 3/16 angle iron and it cost me $37.00 I know what I am going to look for at auctions for a while.

I'll ditto on the usefullness. I got mine at auction for $25.00 (like the one pictured) and a homemade one for $10.00.

Painted them gray.

i bought mine a long time ago but mine is 2 in square and cost $100.00 i bolted a 2000lbs boat winch just behind the driver. and a pully on the backend - i have weights on the front there isnt anything i have'nt picked up
