Barn find SC

Here's my new "barn find" SC. A 1948 model with adjustable wide front. Been hiding in a barn for who knows how many years. Was covered in inches of dust before the quick wash job.

NICE!! I have a mate to it same axles front and rear and I think its a 48 as well has been tucked into my shed fro over 15 years need to get it out and run it some thanks for sharing

Are you sure you did not sneak up and get mine out of Dad's machine shed? It is an exact twin to that one. Same weights, and the front casting is even the same color. Lights, fenders, air pre cleaner all the same. DK
 
Sweet little rig! Still a few to be found on that side of the state? I have one like yours too and if mine hadn't been painted a bright red that had faded to pink, I would have left it alone. Congrats. Sounds like we could maybe have an SC convention :)
 
Yes, there are a few to be found, but you have to keep your eyes and ears open to get 'em! This one was owned by Joe Haeberger, who was one of the founders of Prairie Village in Madison, SD. He auctioned off what was left of his years of collecting, that wasn't already at Prairie Village. I am now her caretaker!
