This area doesnt get freezing winds and few tornadoes.

What they are protecting from is tidal surge. A wall of water being pushed onshore with a hurricane.

I've always said that any shed no matter how big, isn't big enough.

That one just might be the exception. I'd like to have it, but I wouldn't want to pay for it.

I would think the water would push those poles over and drop what ever you are trying to keep dry.
