Quick question,
When charging an 8n Pos.ground, do you hook the pos. side of charger to pos.post or neg post??

Yes, positive charger lead to Positive battery post.

Always and forever you hook + to + and - to - no matter what or how it is grounded. If you do it any other way you risk turning a good battery into a bad one and turning a good charger into a bad one

Mentally unhook the battery from the tractor.....then think about the question you just asked.

It doesn't make any difference how the battery is attached to the tractor. The battery has a positive post & a negative post, right?

Positive charger cable to the positive battery post.

If you have an old charger, don't set it on the tractor chassis.

...and don't forget to flip the switch on the charger over to 6V!
