Battery door handle

I bought a new door and handle for my 8 n . It never had a door and handle is bent up. Any ideas on attaching new handle? The old one is riveted on.

New ones are usually attached with 10-24 screws and nuts. Works fine for me .

Trish, are you talking about the latch knob assembly or the hinges?

The handle is held onto the latch with a nut and the hinges are held onto the hood and fuel door by rivets.

If you are referring to the hinge assembly do as Soundguy recommended and grind to old rivet off and pop rivet your new assembly in place. My experience with machine screws for the hinge has been less than satisfactory - They work loose over time.
