Battery Powered Sprayer

Been looking at the small battery powered sprayers for spot spraying. $30 to $120 and I don't think the battery is replaceable. Most are 7 volt 2400amp hour and use a USB charging system. Chinese junk toy or really usable?

I'm very happy with a 25 gallon tank sprayer from rural king. I pull it behind a lawn mower and the 12 volt pump uses the mower battery. It has a boom with 4 nozzles and a wand for spot spraying.
It is better than using my 3 gallon backpack sprayer.
I have use it to apply termite chemicals around my houses and building.
You might want to check into a tank sprayer on wheels or attach to an ATV

My battery 2 gallon Ryobi works great and uses same battery as all my 18v Ryobi tools. Way better than a pump. I would only get one that has a removable battery that matches other tools you have. I always have a couple of charged batteries ready to go.

I have one of the Milwaukee 2 gallon sprayers. Battery operated and its built
in. Can't remember if this is the 3rd year or 4th year but it's been a while. Works great and beats the dickens out of hand pump model.

Are you already on another tool/battery platform? If so, I'd just get your manf. sprayer, assuming they make one.

I just use a 12 volt pump and hook to the tractor drive around and spry from the seat on things. with the breeze right I can get up about 20 feet for tree limbs and brush along fences.

I have Ryobi tools and see they make one for $100+, not sure I need one that bad. However, I agree that is the way to go. I've been looking at the $30 chinese stuff. I just spot spray burdock and thistle off my K-Mule.

Age is a factor here. At my age if I have a serious "want" the "need it that bad " is no where near as big a factor as it used to be. If I need it is close enough. Lol 😂 More expensive stuff isn't even considered because of the time factor.

On a whim I converted a hand pump 3G sprayer to use compressed air. i drilled a hole and installed a tire valve stem. Since it already had an over-pressure relief valve, it works very well. I add compressed air until the over-pressure valve begins to move. If I only fill the liquid to 2G the compressed air charge will last until the liquid is gone.
For big spray jobs I have a 35G 12V sprayer. used as Geo-TH does. I've even used a 3-pt hitch carrier on my farm tractor, with wires running to the tractor battery.

Ray, I thought of that but my hand pump sprayer leaks air. One of the reasons for replacement is the constant pumping. It is a cheap plastic thing and leaks in the fill port and the pump. Looks like the $30 units use a nonreplaceable, built in battery and USB charging system. (JUNK) The $100+ use a battery powered unit same as power tools. i.e. Dewalt , Ryobi, etc.

M-Man, I am 86, a dreamer and still like toys!

I had one that leaked too. A new O-ring and vaselene fixed it.

The last time I bought that sprayer it was $60 - not very long ago. I have a couple. I have a lot of Ryobi and use them hard. I have often bought Ryobi tools on Am-zon to replace a tool at a much better price than HD. I just looked on Am-zon and that is not the case any more. If even available they are more expensive. I guess our new normal.

I have a JACTO 2 gal, they also make a 4 gal, or did some 5 years ago when I bought mine. The battery is built in with a separate charger. The switch and charging port is sealed so getting the sprayer wet is not a problem. I have never run the battery dead, it will spray 3+ tanks with out needing a charge. I have thought of getting a 4 gal unit......but 4 gal of water would get heavy (to me) for a back pack use.
